Urs Blöchlinger, an outstanding Swiss saxophonist and composer, died in 1995 and this is an attempt to take a fresh look at his varied compositional work. He was an imaginative and intelligent composer who left behind a great body of work. Jazz Views’ Ken Cheetham said: “Blöchlinger was seen as a composer of music best described as lavishly colourful, mellow and highly varied. “Here, his son Lino, sets out to rediscover and reveal the music’s  richness and variety. It is vivid, at times incandescent; wilfully, wildly dynamic... It is fervent, authentic, thoroughly modern and entirely interesting.”
