Elmore James Jr. has been a mainstay of Chicago’s South Side Blues scene for more than 40 years. During his time recording for the JSP label, he also toured Europe and performed at festivals across the United States, building a strong reputation as both a performer and songwriter. A skilled slide guitar player, his sound carries the spirit of his famous father, Elmore James, while showcasing his own material. With Ed Williams on sax and Jake Dawson on guitar, the music evokes the classic Chicago Blues of the 1950s, making this CD a must for fans of that era and style.
