This three-disc anthology brings together the best of the Eagles’ live broadcasts from 1974 to 1976. The set opens with the celebrated performance from the Beacon Theatre, New York, on 13 April 1974, featuring special guests Jackson Browne and Linda Ronstadt. Originally formed as Ronstadt’s backing band, the Eagles had already achieved major success with their 1972 debut album, which produced a string of hit singles. The 1973 follow-up, Desperado, added two more, and by 1974—following the release of On the Border and the arrival of guitarist Don Felder—they scored their first US number one with “Best of My Love.” This broadcast captures the band delivering a strong set drawn from this breakthrough period.

By 1976, the Eagles were nearing their creative peak. Bernie Leadon had departed and been replaced by Joe Walsh, bringing a more rock-oriented edge to the sound and contributing four of his own songs to the live set. Having just completed their fifth album, Hotel California, the band embarked on a promotional tour that proved increasingly strained, eventually leading to Randy Meisner’s departure and setting the stage for the group’s split in 1979. Included here is the renowned FM broadcast from The Summit in Houston on 6 November 1976, recorded shortly before the release of Hotel California on 8 December 1976.
