Empreintes (LJ13) is the second album from the Anne Paceo Triphase trio, confirming the creative identity and remarkable cohesion first heard on their debut. Led by drummer and composer Anne Paceo, alongside pianist Leonardo Montana and bassist Joan Eche-Puig, the group develops a fluid, colour-rich form of contemporary jazz where lyrical writing, rhythmic subtlety and collective interplay are in constant balance. The repertoire—largely co-composed within the trio—emphasises melodic clarity and conversational improvisation, with each musician contributing distinct yet deeply integrated voices to the overall sound. Building on the momentum of extensive touring and growing critical recognition, Empreintes captures a trio fully matured in its dialogue, refining rather than reinventing their aesthetic. Released in 2010 on Laborie Jazz, the album stands as a confident statement of shared musical language, marked by warmth, precision and an understated emotional resonance.
