On Lucky Man, Alfonso Deidda reveals the breadth of his musical voice as a composer, multi-instrumentalist and improviser. Moving effortlessly between saxophones, flute and piano, he brings together lyricism, rhythmic vitality and an understated virtuosity in a programme that reflects both his Mediterranean roots and his deep affinity with the modern jazz tradition. Rather than placing technical display at the forefront, Deidda allows melody, interaction and narrative to guide the music, creating performances that are intimate, richly textured and full of quiet surprises. Supported by an ensemble of like-minded musicians, Lucky Man is an album that celebrates the good fortune of shared creativity—where every solo, every dialogue and every silence contributes to a musical journey of warmth, elegance and genuine emotional depth.
